Michelle Rajotte

Creative Director and Founder

Growing up in Hollywood, California provided endless wild inspiration for Michelle Rajotte. The future called out to her with unlimited artistic possibility. Despite the trailblazing spirit that pushed her forward, Michelle also had an innate respect and reverence for American design heritage and believed strongly that preserving and updating artifacts of the past can be powerfully sustainable.

Flash forward some years and Looking Glass Baths was born at this intersection of ideas that Michelle holds dear. Her vision repurposes relics of American antiquity to create modern day treasures. Her bathtubs are one-of-a-kind art pieces. Michelle holds a BFA from Parsons School of Design, and has spent the past twenty five years honing her passion for art, photography and design in L.A., Paris, San Francisco and now Portland, Oregon where she lives in a magical old turn of the century house that she and her husband, Chris are rescuing. They have four young adult kids in their blended family and live with two dogs, Nola, a terrier mix and Oscar, a very stubborn, long haired dachshund.
